Forget about crying on Oprah or Barbara Walters, that ain’t happening. Tiger has only one shot, Europe. OK, here’s the deets. And trust me, I know what I’m tweetin’ about!
Tiger needs to leave the PGA TOUR and compete on the EUROPEAN TOUR in 2010.
Team Tiger (Elin, the kids, his mom – Kultida, caddy – Steve Williams, and on the weekends – swing coach Hank Haney) need to pack nothing except for Tiger’s trophies, board his jet and head for the hills of Sweden.
The Tiger vibe in Europe is a little different than here in the States, check out this tweet from Germany courtesy of @pinotphilia; “really happy to be in Europe, where they could give two sh*#s about the Tiger Woods “crisis”. puhleez.” That’s the first good news for Tiger’s PR people. But wait! Below is more good news!
If Tiger follows TweeterVerses plans exactly he’ll come out of this catastrophic nightmare.
- Mission Impossible: Tiger playing on the PGA TOUR in 2010. Don’t forget in golf, the spectators stand a scant few feet from the golfers. Expect all the ladies to offer their own loud definition of the word “transgressions.”
- The PGA TOUR: It’s very tight knit. While few players will speak out against Tiger (they know where their bread is buttered), The PGA wives’ are a different story. I would not want to be Tiger at any golf tournament dinner function. ‘Nuff said..
- Elin is Swedish, the wives on the European Tour can provide a stronger comfort level for her. Not taking anything away from the lovely wives’ on the PGA Tour, it’s just that’s her homeland.
- Tiger needs to win Majors. He can’t take off a year (he just returned from knee surgery) or worse, solely play the four majors and skip 15 other tournaments. He’s not winning Majors if that’s the case. I don’t care how good anyone is.
- The UPSIDE. (Yes, there might be an upside business wise) Tiger playing on the European Tour will only increase his international worldwide fame and brand. Plus, as an athlete, Tiger will finally become a more global player.
- The European Tour is Tiger’s only Fortress of Solitude.
Personally as a huge golf fan, I am quite bored watching Tiger dismantle the players and courses on the PGA TOUR here in America and would LOVE to see Tiger play on the European Tour. Sorry Tim Finchem..
